Swissmetal provides semi-finished products for the Industry, Façades and Interior Finishing.

Perfect solutions for windows, façades, doors, vestibules and conservatories are possible with sections made of building bronze "Dorna-A"™ (CuZn40Mn2Fe1). Combinations with other metals or with wood are also possible. This material also provides its own protection against weathering through the formation of a natural patina.

There is both a technical and an emotionally significant side to build a house. Both factors dictate the use of strong, durable materials. Copper and copper alloys fulfill these basic criteria admirably and offer a means of providing highquality and attractive solutions.

Two materials frequently used for building exteriors (windows, facades) are building-grade bronze and copper. They have a natural patina that adds a stylish note. Brass profiles are a firmly established feature of interior fittings thanks to the great variety of available shapes. Brass fittings and accessories provide sterling service over many years. Swissmetal products play a major role in locks aswell as keys: as raw materials, brass and nickel silver allow great flexibility with regard to shape and are also highly resistant to humidity.

Interior finishing experts appreciate Swissmetal brass sections because they come in a wide range of shapes that are ideal for meeting any require-ment (stop rails, decorative trims, edge sections, carpet fixing rails, stair nosing sections, terrazzo separating strips).

Swissmetal’s expertise extends to handrail, hinge and showcase sections. The wide selection of available copper alloys with their specific properties allows for some surprisingly inexpensive and technically efficient solutions, especially where profile sections are concerned.

Screws, flexible articles and fixing elements manufactured from wire stock are used on a large scale for construction and in buildings. Swissmetal produces high quality wires out of copper, brass, bronze and special materials for a vast array of different application areas – for example coldformed parts such as screws, rivets, nuts and threaded bolts as well as extruded parts and flexible articles.

Swissmetal leaded brass is applicated in a large variety of areas. This material combines outstanding hot forming properties with firstclass machinability (it is ideal for processing with diamond cutting tools) and can be easily polished. Typical end products are tap components, valve parts, threaded connections, handles and fittings.
