From 23 – 27.01.2008 Swissmetal and its sales organisation Avins presented the new NNS high-performance alloy at Paperworld in Frankfurt, Germany, the world’s leading exhibition for stationery. This is a nickel silver that has been specially developed for ballpoint pen refills for the stationery industry. Apart from its extremely good drilling and turning properties, first and foremost this alloy is excellent for writing with. Good corrosion behaviour and lower tool wear complete the positive aspects of this alloy. Besides this highlight, complementary goods that are also important to the market such as precision tubes in miniaturised versions from the Industrial Tube Corporation from New Jersey (USA) were also shown for the first time at this exhibition.

Numerous customers and also many new interested parties were pleased with the innovations and requested samples so as to be able to make their own products more attractive in design. Swissmetal is very happy with the results of the exhibition and hopes that the market for stationery can follow the good impetus of Paperworld in the short term
